Course Overview

Hospitality & Tourism Management is the study of the hospitality and tourism industry. A four-year degree program is the fast-changing, dynamic and highly competitive field expects well-trained professionals with serious work ethic. Hospitality and Tourism Management prepares students for management positions in one of the fastest-growing economic sectors worldwide.

Objectives of the program

Hospitality & Tourism Management program is dedicated to impart quality higher education & training in the field of hospitality management and tourism, to prepare globally competitive managers & professionals for international hospitality industry. Successful students of HTM will have the knowledge, skill, motivation & experience to take up managerial responsibilities in the dynamically growing Tourism, Hotel & Hospitality sector.

Description of the Program

University will offer Four Year Bachelor degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management under the department of Business Administration which is to be completed in eight semesters. A student will be required to complete a minimum of 40 courses (126 credits) in order to achieve his Bachelor degree, with options to choose the courses from available different titles.

Students will take 5 courses in each semester.

  • an ability to apply knowledge of math, science, engineering.
  • an ability to design and conduct experiments and analyze data.
  • an ability to identify, formulate, and solve engineering problems.
  • an ability to use the techniques, skills, and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

Program Educational Objectives (PEO)

  • PEO1 : To embed practical knowledge in the minds of students through industrial visits and various training programs.
  • PEO2 : To enable the students to gain knowledge over the recent developments in the various areas of hospitality and tourism.
  • PEO3 : To orient the students in the applied aspects of different advanced business practices.
  • PEO4 : To equip the students to occupy important positions in Hotels, Airlines, Travel agency, tour operators and related organizations.
  • PEO5 : To inspire the students to apply their knowledge gained for the development of environment, society, ethics, and culture in general.

A student will be required to complete a minimum of 46 courses (142 credits) in order to achieve his Bachelor degree.

Frequently Asked Question

Requirement for admission into this HTM program is as of UGC rules. However, the minimum qualification for admission to undergraduate programs are:
  • 1 CGPA 2.00 or second division in HSC or its equivalent examination such as A levels and Alim examinations.
  • 2 Acceptable scores in University admission test, or at least 5.00 in the IELTS and/or 550 in Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL).
  • 3 Students will be recruited through an admission test.

Each course is assessed in 100 Marks with a breakdown of class tests, presentations, mid-term and final exams and viva-voce as follow:
